Millfield to Tinklers Vineyard (Extension of the GNW) 14km. Maps Quorrobolong and Cessnock.

Track goes through undulating open forest to Bimbadeen and Mt Bright lookout, great views, all on track. Meet 8.30am on the grassy verge opposite Tinklers Vineyard on Pokolbin Mountains Road. From there it will be a car shuffle to the start of the walk on the corner of Wollombi Road and Shingle Gully Road, Millfield.

Ride Tuggerah Lake Distance: Approx: 50k
Leisurely bike ride around Tuggerah Lake from North Entrance. We will ride along Wilfred Barret Drive for 2km but it has a wide shoulder. Then it is quiet roads & bike paths through Canton Beach, Tacoma, Wyong, Chittaway Bay & Long Jetty returning to The Entrance.

Double Bay to The Rocks (Stage 3 of the Bondi to Manly Coastal Walk)

8.5km This walk follows the harbour foreshore where roads and tracks permit. Takes in the wealthy 'Double Bay - Double Pay', Kings Cross and the poorer Woolloomooloo. Dangar Island. A social day out with an easy stroll around the island, 4 km with option of an extra walk around Brooklyn to Parsley Bay and Dead Horse Bay - about 2 added km. Morning tea at Dangar Island Depot on arrival. Train Morisset - 8.23, 2nd last carriage upstairs.  Ferry departure 9.25 am.  Ferry cost - full price $9.30 one way, concession $4.70. No Opal card option on ferry.

North Wyrrabalong NP -Redgum Trail and Lillypilly Loop Trail.

14-15 km, 60 metre ascent/descent. Beautiful angophoras, cabbage tree palms, lake and ocean views and a wide variety of vegetation types. All on track with only gentle climbs and descents. Hornsby to Thornleigh, 11kms grade 3. Map: Hornsby

Ascent 200m Map: Hornsby 9130-4S 1:25k. Section of GNW in reverse. Should take approximately 4 hours. A few creek crossings, well marked track a little rough at times, can be muddy with slippery rocks after rain.  Meet: Train to Hornsby leaving Newcastle Interchange 7.25, Hamilton 7.28, Cardiff 7.38. Fassifern 7.49, Morisset 8.05.  Top deck in second last carriage. Arriving Hornsby 9.22.  There are several coffee shops on the west side of the station where you can grab a quick fix before we leave. Returns from Thornleigh run frequently to Hornsby.  We will change here to catch the intercity back home. Book Elke,

Exploratory walk in Ourimbah State Forest. Entry off Hauler Point Road. Walk down to junction of Elliotts Creek then walk upstream using overgrown bridle or logger’s trail discovered on a previous walk. Exit via Bill Jacks Point Road. Map Sixmaps: Wyong. Alum Mountain Bulahdelah circuit. 6km. Check out the old mine workings on the mountain, entrance to the bat cave, stunning views. All on track. Meet 8.00am at Heatherbrae Bunnings carpark, just to the left as you enter the driveway - OR - 9.00am at Mountain Park Bulahdelah. Bring morning tea and we will have lunch back at Mountain Park after the 3 hour walk. OPTION - go to the pub at Bulahdelah for a counter lunch. Book: Frank

Day 3 46 km Loop Lake Illawarra and return to motel. o/n Motel

Day 4 Cycle 10 km to Dunmore Station and train home.
