10th Grade 2 SYDNEY URBAN TRAILS #10: LEICHHARDT Explore the history of this "Italian" suburb with a guest local historian in the morning and the walk leaders in the afternoon. About 9kms. 17th BROUGHTON IS CRUISE From Nelson Bay. On island  guided walk to wildlife breeding areas, swim. snorkel, explore. On return journey (time/weather permitting) boom-net rides and dolphin watching are offered. Cost is $95 or $85 conc.  BOOK.


17th Grade 5 SOMERSBY FALLS TO MOONEY MOONEY CREEK following Floods Creek, Narara. Possible swim at sandy beach on Mooney Mooney Creek. Return to Somersby Falls via trails. Steep, rocky, off track. Map: Gosford.


24th Grade 3 SOMERSBY TO MOONEY MOONEY CREEK GNW TRACKHEAD This walk covers most of Section 15 of GNW but in the reverse direction. Approx 14 kms with about 400 metres ascent and 680 metres descent. Includes a lovely section of Mooney Mooney Creek and a visit to the Lower Mooney Dam. Some steep descents and a potentially slippery creek crossing. Check with leader if there has been recent heavy rainfall. Car shuffle required (approx 15 minutes). Maps: Gosford, Gunderman, Wyong

14th SUN ROPE DAY - ABSEIL SHARK HOLE  BOOK. about 2k walk in, very dependent on weather, tide & swell. Difficult exit. Must have club basic standard for abseiling.

8th Grade 3/4 BEROWRA LOOP WALK: A 13km, 5 hour Berowra loop walk from Berowra Station return. This walk takes in the subtle, suburban, architectural ambiance of red brick and tiled roofs, asbestos cladding, possible gnome and other wildlife sightings, big men's sheds and lesser known bush tracks with views. 
There are creeks, steep sections, a short, marked but challenging rock scramble to negotiate then a climb out from Sams Creek back to the station. Bring your sticks! Total climbing ~300m/Walking time ~4 1/2 hrs


8th Grade 5 MURRELLS ROAD UNDER CLIFF- PART 1 From under cliff below communication tower above Brunkerville Gap on east side of Murrells Road and continue north making our way around north ridge and coming back on west side.


15th Grade 3 NORAH HEAD TONIA & WAYNE CANTON BEACH & NORTH WYRRABALONG NATIONAL PARK . Linking the trails & return to Canton Beach for afternoon tea. Approx 13 km.

22nd Grade 3 RICHTERS CAVE. A forgotten cave that was once a tourist attraction. Walk up Campbell’s Ridge and do a little off track to get to cave.


22nd Grade 5 BOGGY PT Exploratory off track and creek walk. Steep rocky creek down to Wyong River from Wollombi Forest Road then bush bash to Boggy Point Road for return. Olney State Forest, Map: Morisset


29th Grade 3 CONGEWAI, EAST TRACKHEAD TO BARRABA TRIG AND RETURN. Part of the GNW. All uphill to the trig. Elevation gained about 400 metres. MEET leader at the trackhead on Congewai Rd, Congewai at 9.30 am Map: Quorrobolong

4th Grade 3 CAVES BEACH TO NTH CATHERINE HILL BAY & rtn G3. Walk inland from Caves Bch via Radar Hill/Mine Camp to vicinity of Nth Catherine Hill Bay, including taking in several old mine & railway sites. Some short sections off track. Return trip on shoreline as far as practicable, mostly easy to moderate rock platform walking. Map: Catherine Hill Bay Total height gain, ~ 400m, ~15km.


4th Grade 5 CONGEWAI CK FROM TURNERS RD. Fourth creek to the right along Turners Road, check out huge water fall and return via parallel track that meets up with Turners road. MEET 9.00am at Old Forest Headquarters opposite Turners Road.Map: Quorrobolong.




11th Grade 5 BANGALOW CREEK natural arch and undercliff at Mount Sugarloaf. Steep, rocky, off track. Map: Wallsend.


18th Grade 3 BRISBANE WATER NP - Woy Woy Station to Spion Kop and return via Koolewong Ridge, Waterfall Creek and a little known cave with Aboriginal red ochre artwork. Steep climb but no ladders and rope. 14klm. All on track.

5th Grade 3 MURRAYS BEACH, the LOOKOUT & GALGABBA RESERVE Walk up to  the spectacular Lake Macquarie secret lookout. Return via Galgabba Reserve. Walking on urban streets, bush tracks and fire trail. Some steps going down in Murrays Beach.


5th Grade 5 MURRELLS ROAD UNDER CLIFF- PART 2 Commence under cliff below communication tower above Brunkerville Gap on east side of Murrells Road and continue north making our way around north ridge and coming back on west side. Will take at least 2 walks to do. Map Quorrobolong.

1st Grade 3 GIRRAKOOL TO WONDABYNE MEET on train. Arrrive Gosford then catch bus to Pile Rd stop on Pacific Hwy. Walk to Girrakool Trackhead & follow GNW, then Hawkesbury Tk to Leochares & Scopas Peaks & Kariong Brook Falls, then GNW to Wondabyne station. 15 km, 395m elevation

15th Grade 3 LEMON TREE PASSAGE CIRCUIT about 12 kms. Easy walk with just one hill to climb. Follow waterfront, inland to search for ground orchids, then morning tea at water’s edge. Continue into bush up and over Lemon Tree Hill to Mallabula, walk through Habitat Centre’s planted native area. Lunch at Tanilba Bay, or if early, at Sunset Point at Swan Bay. Return along water front & board walk amongst paper bark trees & return on water’s edge


15th Grade 5 EXPLORATORY WALK, off track


22nd Grade 3 GNW MILLFIELD SPUR Approx 14 km with ascent/descent of about 450m. This out and back walk along a spur of the GNW is predominantly on shaded bush tracks and fire trails. It climbs from near Millfield to a well forested ridge line and then to the Bimbadeen and Mount Bright Lookouts for exceptional views of Cessnock, Pokolbin and surrounding towns. 14th-16th WHITE BOX, GOULBURN RIVER Packwalk. Short pack walk in from White Box to base camp. 3 nights camping with 2 full days exploring a wonderful area. Map: Mount Misery
