Easy mostly flat ride approx 35k from Strathfield Train Station to Parramatta and hopefully the Rivercat back to Darling Harbour & short ride to Central Station for return train home. An interesting ride, very scenic & a bit of history at Parramatta Park.

GNW Congewai Trackhead to Barraba Trig and beyond. Distance 13km. Ascent/descent: 600m. Map: GNW, Quarrobolong. A lovely bush hike from Congewai Road up a moderately steep climb to Barraba Trig and then follow the trail to some further viewpoints before returning the same way. Highlights of this walk include wonderful undercliff areas and spectacular views of the Congewai Valley.

Cedar Tree Walk. 15km. 500m elevation. Map: Quorrobolong. (Depends on Watagan Roads not being closed).  Will need to go via Watagan Forest Road. Interesting walk to the west of the Watagans to a lookout over the Congewai Valley followed by a descent to a remnant stand of red cedar trees.  Steep climb back to the cars. Book: Phil Keech. Bobbin Head, Cowan Creek and Smiths Creek. Map: Hornsby. Launch kayaks at Bobbin Head at 9.00am. Enter Kuring-gai Chase National Park at Mt Colah off the Pacific Hwy. Follow Kuring-gai Chase Rd to Bobbin Head. Take right turn before bridge over Cowan Creek and follow road to canoe launching ramp in picnic area. PFD compulsory. Up to 15ks. Need concession park pass (free to concession card holders) or $12 park entry fee.

This classic Watagan's walk climbs steadily from Saul’s Road to Muir’s Lookout for an optional 1.5km rainforest circuit before returning to the start via some steep and eroded bullock tracks (requiring caution). Great Watagans bush and views.
