Lane Cove Tourist Park River CircuitRiverside Walking Track up the Lane Cove River to de Burghs Bridge returning on the other side. Distance: 12km Ascent/descent 383m

Brooklyn to Patonga Train, ferry, hike and swim from Brooklyn to Patonga.

Meet on 0823 train from Morisset to Hawkesbury River Station then catch 1000 ferry to Little Wobby, hike along Pacific Trail then off-track to Patonga Creek, SWIM across to Patonga Creek then hike to Camp Ground. Bus return to Woy Woy Station.  Bring dry-bags and a small flotation device.

Stanwell Creek; historic railway viaduct; pristine bush; spectacular views from lookout; Stanwell Park beach, some downhill and following small tracks. Water and toilets at Stanwell Park station and reserve Distance: 7 km Ascent/descent: 335 m

Canoe Trip

Murray River Canoe Trip - Yarrawonga to Tocumwal

Grade: Relaxed paddling approx. 100 km - 20 km per day, flat water

This is one of the best sections of the Murray River to canoe. There is some water flow but no rapids to negotiate. The river meanders through sections of state forests. There are many sandy beaches and good camp sites along the way, koalas are common. The plan is to camp at the Yarrawonga caravan park on Sunday 23rd and commence paddling of Monday 24th (we will leave the cars at Yarrawonga). We will camp out along the river 5 nights, the last night (Friday 28th at Tocumwal Town Beach). On Saturday 29th the drivers will catch the 8.50am bus to Yarrawonga to recover the vehicles.

Great North Walk sections 10 and 11. Berowra -Berowra Waters - Cowan

Distance: 13 km Ascent/descent 900 m - duration approx 6.5 hours.

Meet on 0732 from Morisset. Connect with train from Woy Woy, leaving 0815. Arrive Berowra 0908. Note: only last 4 carriages can be used to alight at Berowra. Return on either 1640 or 1740 from Cowan to Morisset. Bring plenty of water for this walk.

Marmong - Bolton - Boughton Points Circuit

This walk features Marmong Wetlands, a repurposed treatment pond, recovering quarries, Kooroora Bay, Awaba Bay & Wetlands, significant bushland shorelines, plus extensive elevated lake view tracks.

Meet: 0900 near waterfront park ammenities block, diagonally opposite Marmong Pt Community Hall, George St Marmong Pt

Distance: about 15km Ascent/descent under 250m with some short off track sections.

Birrabang Brook Canyon. Explore area near Mount Wilson Bell Line Rd Blue Mountains.
Non abseil canyon, one section rope assist, you will get wet, need to wade through varying depths of water. Steep climb out of creek. Change of clothes recommended. Early start from Morisset.

The Bluff, Brokenback Ridge and Prickly Ridge - Olney State Forest

From the Prickly Ridge Road entrance to Olney State Forest follow various tracks up to the Bluff and then follow Brokenback Ridge to Prickly Ridge. From there we follow various forest roads and tracks in a circuit back to cars. Lovely ridge walk featuring beautiful mossy rocks, lilies and orchids as well as extensive views. Some steep ascents with slippery, eroded track descents. Distance: About 11 kms. Ascent/descent: 530m.

Manly Dam Loop Walk

A lovely 12 kilometres walk, with a little up and down but mostly easy going.

Walk right around this water and walk to a lookout point overlooking Chatswood and City.

Includes nice small waterfall and take swimmers if it’s hot.

Walk in rainforest with swimming opportunities along the way. If there are 4 wheel drive vehicles available, we can car shuttle to the top of the track and then walk down via Rocky Crossing to the National Parks Shelter. If not enough 4 wheel drive vehicles, we can walk from the National Parks Shelter to Pool of Reflections and return same way. Distance: Approx.12 km Maps: Chichester, Barrington Tops
