1 WATAGAN FOREST RD UNDERCLIFF Off track exploratory walk Follow Undercliff near power lines Exit vis creek near Murrays Rd Map: Morisset

 

8 G 2/3 BUDGEWOI LAKE Walk from San Remo around lake edge for a Fish and Chip lunch {other options available}  at Budgewoi and return. App 15 kms. Map. Central Coast Street Directory.

 

8  G4/5 WALK & SNORKEL FISHERMANS BAY TO KINGSLEY BEACH & return. Map: Morna Pt

 

15 KURINGAI TO BEROWRA VIA COWAN CREEK. Walk down to Cowan Creek and then detour south to Apple Tree Cove for morning tea. Return along a very beautiful walk along Cowan Creek to Waratah Bay for ascent to Berowra Station. Walk is about 10 kilometres.

 

22 G3 LOCAL CARDIFF WALK from rail station and walk up Munibung Hill and explore the hill before going down in a different way. All on track but there will be some steep up and downs. Rewards are great views.

4 Feb Grade 3 NORAH HEAD BUSH AND BEACH Walk through mostly lesser known shady paths, historic sites, rock platforms and beaches. Opportunity for swimming/snorkelling at Pelican Point and Cabbage Tree Bay. Approx. 11km.

1 March Grade 3 OLD MOONEY BRIDGE TO OLD MOONEY DAM AND RETURN.  10 to 12 Kms mostly in shade on GNW track. Possible side trip to Somersby Falls.

 

8 March BIKE RIDE: FERNLEIGH TRACK TO NEWCASTLE FORESHORE RETURN  Mainly shared paths or cycle lanes, suitable for all types of bikes. Minimum 42 kms plus any possible extensions (Nobbys etc). Leisurely pace. Lunch could be at a foreshore café if desired.    

 

8 March Grade 3 PATONGA TRIG TO GREEN POINT TRIG 14km Interesting trig to trig walk

 

15 March Grade 3 HARDYS BAY TO BOX HEAD 8.30 start. Pleasant wateside walk.

 

22 March Grade3 ROCKLILY AND LYREBIRD TRAILS Beautiful area from The Basin. Walk beside Wollombi Brook in pretty rainforest.  Approx 10 kms Map: Murrays Run.

 

22 March Grade 5 CEDAR BRUSH CK  Exploratory walk in a beautiful Watagans creek.

 

29 March Grade 3 COWAN TO BROOKLYN. Beautiful walk to Jerusalem Bay and then a big climb before reaching a fire trail leading to Brooklyn. Lovely views over Brooklyn Waters on descent. About 13.4 kilometres. Map: Great North Walk No3.

14 Jan Grade 2 MORISSET PENINSULA   A pleasant summer’s walk around this pretty area taking in lake foreshores of the different suburbs and various bushland. An opportunity at the end of the walk for a cooling lake swim in the clean waters of this area.  Map: Swansea

28 Jan Grade 3 ROCKY CROSSING, Barrington Tops NP Walk via the Loop Trail to Rocky Crossing and return along the track which brings us to the Crystal Pool.  We will stop and look at Lion Rock and Pool of Reflections during the walk.  For those who wish, there is the option of stopping at either of these spots.  Bring swimmers for a dip at the cascades and waterfall at Rocky Crossing and a swim in the Crystal Pool
